We schedule mounted lessons, weather permitting, on the second Sunday of each month. Winter sessions are typically held in an indoor arena. Lessons include dressage, ground poles, jumping, obstacles, and more.
We also have a musical ride (like a very, very informal quadrille) on the last Saturday of each month.

One of our most popular activities is Summer Camp. Summer Camp, which began in 2006, is held over a three-day weekend at a horsey bed-and-breakfast farm near Staunton.

SCOTT PURDUM CLINIC
RESCHEDULED
SUNDAY, NOVEMEBER 8
OPRC has scheduled a series of semi-private (2 riders per session) lessons with Scott Purdum of Advantage Horsemanship for Sunday, Nov. 8. These lessons will take the place of the normal November lesson and will be held at Woodruffshires Stables, Jeffersonton.
Scott is located near Fredericksburg and his website is https://www.advantagehorsemanship.com/ We held a very fun clinic with Scott last year. He is willing to work with you and your horse on a variety of issues, from groundwork to under saddle.
The instructor fee per individual with horse is $90. You must go online and register and pay at the link:
IMPORTANT: If you want to ride at a certain time, click on the little down arrow to the right of the times shown. If you want to ride with a friend, sign up at the same time.
Participant's will also pay a facility fee of $10 or less, to be determined at the next OPRC Board meeting.
Spaces are limited, so go ahead and sign up if you plan to participate.
